the Project
Ajarif was originally our GRANDPA’s fisherman cabin — a modest holiday retreat and a shelter for our animals. Over time, it transformed into something more: a home where we welcome friends, travelers, and guests seeking simplicity, nature, and connection.

We constantly ask ourselves; How can we preserve the cultural soul of a place while making it speak to today’s world? At Ajarif, we believe we’ve found an answer.
Like all our projects at Nature Tunes, the cabin honors both memory and landscape. It’s a space where heritage and raw nature meet — where architecture is humble and rooted, yet expressive.
We’ve come to understand that it’s not only about the walls or the materials, but about the people, the stories, and the shared moments that breathe life into a place.
The renovation was carried out by Lahcen and Hanine, with their own hands, love, and patience.
The result is a cabin that reflects the spirit of the land, with a design that stays true to its fisherman origins while embracing a rustic and poetic aesthetic.
AJARIFIS More than a house, Ajarif is a living invitation to slow down, to feel, to connect — and to remember what truly matters.

the house
Ajarif is a collection of four unique cabins, each carrying the soul of the coast and the rhythm of village life. With thatched walls and a shared terrace-living room, the spaces transport you to a simpler time — a time shaped by tides, wind, and the wisdom of fishermen.
The minimalist architecture honors this heritage,
highlighting the beauty of imperfection and the quiet elegance of a life lived close to nature.
Together, the cabins form a small community — intimate, timeless, and deeply rooted in place.
Ajarif is made up of three unique rooms, each carrying its own story and spirit, shaped by the wind, ocean, and the traditions of our Amazigh fishing village.
Room 1 — ASSEDI , meaning “nest” in tamazight, is a traditional thatched cabin with windows that open to the ocean. Inside, it features a cozy bedroom, a fully equipped indoor kitchen, and a covered terrace with panoramic sea views. Comfortable sofas invite you to rest, read, or simply watch the waves. It’s a peaceful space, like a nest woven into the cliffs.
Room 2 — TADINGA , meaning “ big wave,” is a spacious two-level room. On the lower floor, there’s a living space with traditional sofas, a fireplace, and a private restroom. Upstairs, a bright bedroom opens to a stunning ocean view, with a private terrace perfect for relaxing and taking in the endless horizon. This room flows like the sea — open, raw, and alive.
Room 3 — TIFRIT , which means “little cave” and was named by my grandfather, is the oldest space in Ajarif. Built like a small cave, it includes a double bed, a sofa and an en-suite bathroom. It doesn’t have an ocean view, but it carries a quiet, grounding energy — a place to disconnect and feel deeply rooted in the earth.
