Timlalin Half-Day Desert Adventure

Honestly one of the best experiences of our entire trip to Morocco. If you’re thinking about booking the half-day desert experience with Visit Tamlalin, DO IT! We genuinely couldn’t recommend these guys enough.

The whole day was just perfect from start to finish. We first visited the Ajarif fisherman’s hut right by the beach and absolutely loved it. Such a beautiful, peaceful and quaint little place in an incredible location. The rooms they have there looked amazing too and we’d genuinely consider coming back just to stay there! We were welcomed with Moroccan tea and immediately made to feel completely at home.

From there we headed out on the quad bikes through the desert, which was absolutely brilliant. The scenery was unreal and riding through it on the quads made it even better. We then had a camel ride before heading into the dunes for sandboarding — every part of the experience felt fun, relaxed and never rushed.

But the highlight had to be the end of the day. Sitting out in the desert around the fire, watching the sun go down with the most breathtaking views, followed by a BBQ and tagine… honestly, it was one of those moments where you just stop and think how lucky you are to be there. The setting was absolutely stunning and the food was incredible.

What really made the whole experience though were the hosts. Just genuinely amazing people — so friendly, welcoming, funny and full of great energy. Nothing felt forced or overly touristy; it felt personal, authentic and like they genuinely wanted you to have the best possible experience.

We came away absolutely buzzing and saying it was one of the highlights of our holiday. An unforgettable experience and worth every penny.
